How can we help at this stage?

Pay the correct amount through the correct channel with the correct reference
Program, scholarship, intake and student status can change the amount due. Review the current admission/scholarship letter and EMU fee statement before paying.
Verify the amount due
Separate gross tuition from the net amount after scholarship. Check whether registration, student services, insurance, housing, meals or other items are separate.
- ✓ Match program and academic intake
- ✓ Read which item the scholarship applies to
- ✓ Use the current official fee statement
Use verified channels only
Take bank, online portal or campus payment details only from a current official EMU notice or verified student account.
- ✓ Check beneficiary and currency
- ✓ Independently verify changes sent by message
- ✓ Never pay an unrelated personal account
Bank transfer
For local or international transfer, ask about sender, intermediary-bank and conversion charges and the net amount that will reach the beneficiary.
- ✓ Add student number and full name to reference
- ✓ Check IBAN/SWIFT and beneficiary carefully
- ✓ Allow for deductions that may create a shortfall
Card or campus payment
Where available, verify accepted cards, currency, transaction limits and possible bank fees before card or campus payment.
- ✓ Check the browser address and secure connection
- ✓ Never share one-time passwords
- ✓ Prefer traceable official channels over carrying cash
Instalments and deadlines
If a plan is offered, confirm the first payment, remaining instalments, minimum needed for registration and consequences of delay in writing.
- ✓ Save every deadline
- ✓ Read the plan with the scholarship letter
- ✓ Contact the relevant EMU unit before a delay
Receipt and account matching
Keep the receipt and confirm that payment is posted to the student account. A bank debit does not by itself mean university posting is complete.
- ✓ Check date, amount, currency and reference
- ✓ Keep a PDF receipt
- ✓ Confirm before making a duplicate payment
Secure-payment checklist
- Open current admission and scholarship letters
- Confirm net balance with student number
- Verify official channel and beneficiary
- Calculate exchange and banking charges
- Pay with the correct reference
- Keep receipt and confirm account posting
OnCampusHub is not a payment account and does not collect student funds. Bank details, exchange rates, charges, instalments and deadlines may change. Verify current official EMU information before paying and never share banking data publicly.
